The goal of this project is to inspire each other to craft for the 2007 holidays throughout the year. Every year I say that I want to make this the year that all of my Christmas gifts are hand made, and this time I mean it! I imagine TOE (The Organized Elf) as a respository for crafty ideas for swank gifts, as well as a place to cheer each other on. If there are elves who are having a blast making multiples of a particular craft, why not swap and get a variety of cool handmade gifts for your lucky list?
If you want to join in the fun, e-mail me at b13armyATyahooDOTcom. Be sure to include your name and blog URL (if you have one) so that I can add you to the Elves List. As soon as I can, I’ll send you an invite to post on the blog.
Ready to go? Download the Organized Elf Worksheet from the sidebar, and start brainstorming ideas for gifts you’d like to make.
Hurrah! I’m ready! Just signed up for a wordpress account, so this elf is good to go.
I don’t mean to be a bug, but would you perhaps consider using PDF files? I for one don’t have the right software for opening the worksheet, and that may be true for others later . . . .
Still, I’m excited!
I love this idea. What a great theme for a crafter/knitter in January. Count me in.

This sounds like it might be a good idea for those of us who are reasonably organized and figure that slow and steady is a lot easier, cheaper and less stressful than the last minute frenzy. I can create some lovely yarn – at the moment its merino at 100wpi for lace shawls and I have enough time to get my hairpin lace just right.

This sounds like a great idea and will save the frenzied few weeks before Christmas for more fun stuff (and so much less stress!).Please count me in as well! I am hoping to be inspired to start early and keep at it until I have lots of handmade gifts.
This is great! I just e-mailed you my info.
