Scout directed me to this great idea from Big Girl Feet on how to recycle your Christmas cards into gift tags for next year. That’s on my “to do” for this weekend!
I’m just about caught up with sending invites to people who have expressed interest in joining, so if you haven’t gotten one yet, e-mail me at b13armyATyahooDOTcom. And as soon as I figure out how to upload a link to a file on the sidebar, the worksheet will be up. If you want it now, just e-mail me, and I’ll send it to you.
And. If anyone wants to make buttons, we could use them!
xx
I do this too! I trace holdiay shapes like trees or mittens over the pretty part of the card and cut them out. My family members save their cards for me each year so there is always plenty to work with.
I used a circle cutter, and fishing line to create garlands with my christmas cards. Way pretty. I’ll try and post a picture!
I also use the old card trick, but here is one really great idea that I had and has utilized. I take a piece of crown molding from home depot, cost:$5, stain it with my favorite color stain, cost:$2, and then nail it up in the coat hallway just above head height, or hanger height, then I tack all of the cards that we recieve year around, valentines, birthdays, mothers days, etc. It keeps me looking at them all year around, and when people come to visit they get to see their card on the wall of honor.
